Support for SMEs

To attract new blood for the insurance sector by allowing university students to gain a better understanding of the operation of the insurance sector which would facilitate their consideration in deciding their future career.

Out of the monthly honorarium for each intern, the Government would contribute up to 80% or $8,000 (whichever is lower) for an internship period of up to three consecutive months to the participating employer. SIP invites application in summer (i.e. June to August). 

A resident of the HKSAR and lawfully employable in Hong Kong; and
An undergraduate or postgraduate student who enrolled in a fulltime accredited programme provided by a local education institution; or
A sub-degree final year student who received a conditional offer from a full-time locally accredited degree programme

Applicants are required to submit application form together with a copy of student card, academic transcript, as well as curriculum vitae and cover letter(s) to VTC on or before the application deadline. Applicants may also be required to attend job interview(s) arranged by the participating employer(s). Participating employer may select an applicant based on their academic attainment as well as interview performance.
