Support for SMEs

To support enterprises carrying out manufacturing operations or running production lines in Hong Kong to formulate smart production strategies and introduce advanced technologies into their existing manufacturing operations or production lines.

• Matching basis: Provides funding for projects on a 1 (Government):2 (enterprise) matching basis.
• Funding amount: Up to HK$250,000 per enterprise or one-third of the total approved project cost, whichever is lower. Only one project from each company may be approved.
• Funding scope: Supports projects on adopting smart manufacturing technologies in upgrading the manufacturing operation or production line. The funding could cover costs in advisory and strategic planning consultancy, procurement and installation of equipment, as well as coaching services.
• Project duration: Normally within 12 months.

Applicant must fulfill the following requirements:

(a)(i) is registered in Hong Kong under the Business Registration Ordinance (Cap. 310) ("BRO"); or
(a)(ii) is incorporated and registered in Hong Kong under the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622); AND

(b) is neither a listed company in Hong Kong nor a government subvented organisation or subsidiary of any government subvented organisation; AND

(c) has been carrying out manufacturing operations or running one or more production lines for at least one year in Hong Kong and the manufacturing operations or production lines are related to the project under the application.

• Manufacturing+ is open for applications throughout the year. Applicants should only submit their applications by one of the following methods, after completing the necessary e-procurement procedure on the same website:

1. through the dedicated website; or
2. by sending the completed electronic form, together with other required documents, to the Secretariat (email: mplus-enquiry@hkpc.org).
